NAKAMURA
Nakamura-Tome is a Japanese company specialized in the design and sale of CNC precision machine tools. It was founded in 1949 by Tomeo Nakamura and his wife in Kanazawa, a city in Ishikawa Prefecture, on the island of Honshu, Japan. At its creation, the company was first active in outsourcing in the field of steel (Nakamura-Tome Ironworks) and they had only one lathe and one drill. In 1956, Nakamura-Tome already had 60 employees and a larger number of machines, which led them to find new larger premises. It was not until 1960 that the group changed its activities. Since then Nakamura-Tome has primarily become a manufacturer of machine tools and thus renamed Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry Co., Ltd. Its products have quickly conquered the industrial markets, both at the national and the international level. In 1965, the group settled its quarters at the current site of Netsuno-machi, in the city of Hakusan (still in Ishikawa Prefecture). The new site spreads over 120,000 m². Besides its headquarters, Nakamura-Tome has branches in Tokyo and Osaka, a plant recently opened 19,000 m² in Daegu, South Korea, offices in Nagoya, Kita-Kanto and Hamamatsu, as well as representations in the United States, France, Germany, the UK, and Italy. The current president, Mr. Kenichi Nakamura was appointed head of the Japanese Machine Tool Manufacturers Association in 2005. Today, the Nakamura-Tome Group is a world leading manufacturer of precision machine tools. It develops its products using the most innovative technologies and relying on a highly skilled workforce of 430 employees. The Japanese company designs CNC lathes , CNC machining centers, and CNC turning/milling centers. The Nakamura second-hand machine tools that go through RDMO workshops benefit from their expertise in the checking and maintenance of second-hand industrial equipment.
